Information dissemination and creating awareness regarding CFC phase-out in India is of utmost importance to the success of the project. Awareness is required to be raised among dealers of spare parts and refrigerants, the Refrigeration Servicing Enterprises (RSEs) themselves, larger industry, the general public and journalists. With this support targets may not be met. Various media are being employed to create awareness: viz. posters circulated among dealers promoting best servicing practices, a regular newsletter for servicing technicians, flyers giving information about the project and a video to support the recruitment of technicians for training. Among events scheduled to raise awareness dealer workshops are being held in all 15 States, as well as equipment support workshops to solicit the interest of RSEs in equipment packages being offered. Articles are published in local newspapers to raise local awareness and this website provides a regularly updated source of information on the project.
